What's up you beautiful people welcome to trace trades where we give technical analysis of different stocks in the stock market. How are we doing today guys it's your point, trey from trace trades. I think that's what they call me anyways coming back again for another video, and i just want to go over kind of the basics on two kind of news catalysts that are coming up here with amc and that i think, are actually going to drive some excitement. Some sustainable catalyst for the stock, and i want to present by saying obviously that i'm not a financial advisor nor experts don't take when i say the grain of salt, let's get into the video.

So today we're going to be talking about the moved date on the shareholders vote, which is now on july 29th, and i also want to talk about the expected earnings that are coming up and there's a little bit of anticipation. A lot of people are saying this is going to go down some, i'm just saying it's going to go down and i kind of want to cover some of the the questions that may be asked by some of the investors out there. So i want to start off here with the moving of the actual date on this this specific meeting. Now, what are my thoughts on this right? You can see right here.

We were supposed to have the vote today on may 4th, and it actually did not happen. It got pushed far ways out by the way to july 29th. Right now. Why would this be so there's? This is obviously speculation.

I think there's some people out there who may be like. Ah, this could be a source of flood. This could actually scare some people away yadda yadda, but i don't really think that's the case right. I think the sole reason why this got pushed if i was to say anything based on speculation alone - is that it was a business move by adam aaron and amc itself right to sustain hype right, there's actual, and you might think this is actually a source of Fun right fear, uncertainty and doubt, but to me now that you've taken that 500 million authorization off the table right, there's no questions, nothing to be asked, there's nothing to worry about.

They were always able to use those 43 million shares beforehand. Now this is pushed july 29th people can actually get excited and maybe anticipate that there's something else on the horizon. Second piece to consider right. I don't think this is by accident.

We haven't heard jack diddly about the actual share count. We heard that they're supposed to be a share account they're supposed to release information 10 days prior to the actual meeting, now think about this for a second. What if this is a big if right, what if they could not release the information yet so they decided to push it to the right because they had to get their ducks in a row. It really could be that freaking simple and that maybe that's speculative right.

I know this is a long, long, long ways out, but what, if they just couldn't, release the information? Yet what? If they said, you know what, based on everything that we owe to the shareholders. We owe it to the people. We don't have our stuff in a line, yet we're not ready to talk about this, so let's just push it to the right. It could be that simple, because one of the reasons they have right, what sort of business move you guys, i mean feel free to.

Let me know, because maybe i'm just not thinking about it - that's totally. Okay, like i'm open for challenging opinions, but why would they push it so far to the right i mean july 29th is a long ways out june july. That's almost three months. I mean that's a long ways out and what they're voting on essentially is not very controversial.

I mean maybe you're gon na, have you know different opinions and stuff, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't affect the short-term price action it doesn't affect. The majority of retail investors that are actually in amc right now right, so why do they push it to the right speculative? Nobody knows right, it's a question that i don't think anybody has the answer to, but i would not be surprised if it has something to do with that right and i've told everybody before i'll. Tell everybody again that i have spoken with adam aaron. He has said specifically that he would love to have another interview down the road, so maybe this is an opportunity that we can get him on right, i'll, i'll, shoot him an email, i'll talk to him and see what i can do.

But this is an opportunity. I think for him to give some more public relations, some more press release to have more time with the retail investor, to have more conversations with the apes right. I think this is going to be an opportunity for amc and the company and adam aaron to do some good things to continue to push the stock price up over time right. So i don't think this is any source of fun, fear, uncertainty and doubt i don't think, there's any negative connotations involved with them pushing this to the right.

I don't think you should be. You know worried about it. If you want to find this information, you can just go on weeble wherever your brokerage is and look at the recent news. You'll see it pop up.

Otherwise you can just type in amc. Postpones today's annual meeting of july 29th and you'll be able to find it there as well. So with that being said, amc is expected to release their earnings per share their quarterly earnings this week. If i remember correctly, i think it's may 6th, but let me just check really quick.

I want to fact check that make sure i'm not getting it wrong. Let me pause this yeah there. It is so may 6th they're expected to release earnings on may 6th after market close, so this is another. In my previous video, i talked about the fact that i picked up.

Some 9.5 strike call options for next friday right and the reason why i didn't pick this friday is for two main reasons. One i like to give myself a little bit of runway right. I like to be very careful and make sure that i'm not investing more than willing to lose. I want to give myself opportunity for that to actually get itself in the money.

I also picked the 9.5 strike because it's just barely out the money and it's already almost in the money based on today's price action, but i also wanted that extra week, time frame because there there is earnings per share coming up and believe it or not. Maybe this is just me, maybe i'm just off the rocker right here, but i really don't think it's going to be as bad as the zach consensus estimate is saying. So, let's just read this really quick. Q1 estimates.

The zac consensus estimate for first quarter bottom line is pegged at a loss of 1.15 per share compared to the loss of 222 per share in the year ago. Quarter. The consensus mark for revenue stands at 147.8 million, indicating a decline of 84.3 from the prior year quarter right. So essentially, what this is saying is that, a year ago, the first quarter right was uh.

They were actually in a different situation. It was a little bit worse right, so they pegged a loss of a buck 15 compared with a loss of 222 per share in the year ago quarter. So that's an improvement from a year ago that first quarter of the year that we were seeing, but i think it's actually going to be even better than that. What it's going to depend on is this right.

It's going to depend a lot on if they have any sort of sales revenue generated income that they're, including and when that time frame cuts off, because the first movie that they released in amc, theaters right was godzilla versus freaking kong, baby and if that is included In their revenues, if they're able to report that as a source of income that is going to greatly affect their eps, their earnings per share, which can act as a catalyst to get people moving, i'm telling you i'm telling i'm telling i'm telling you there are some Investors, traders right that only pay attention to earnings and they try to do their homework and they try to study up and guess at what the earnings are going to be and play daily. Earnings calls essentially, maybe not like call options right, but calls right play, play the stock on earnings, because if you get good earnings released, that can act as a catalyst in and of itself to help move amc stock in a positive direction. In my previous video i talked about this right. I said we have begun the bounce off of a good, triple top channel right, so we're trading back and forth between about nine dollars and fifteen cents at 11, 20 right now and we're on the verge of bouncing off of that 920 mark.

If this goes well - and this is a big if right - because we don't no - this is just an estimate - this is a guess. This is this is my best educated opinion. If this, you know, this earnings report goes well. That can act as a catalyst to get that clean break over 11 and 20 cents, which would be something to be very excited about my friends.

So that's something you should mark on your calendar. I think this is pretty freaking, exciting news, if you guys have any any sort of information on this that i'm not aware of. Please let me know in the comment section down below. I spend the majority of the day at work.

Obviously, but uh you know i try to do my homework and give you guys what i have regardless. So these are kind of two of the big things that are on the agenda here today for amc stock things. I think you should pay attention to and i do think the earnings are actually going to be a little bit better even yet than it's saying right here, loss of a buck 15 per share. I think it's going to be a smaller one.

I don't think it's going to be more than a buck loss. I i honestly wouldn't even be surprised if it's in the green, if they're, including any sort of revenue that they had from the godzilla versus kong movies and when that earnings date cuts off. So, that's just something to consider. I i think that's pretty fascinating stuff.

I think it could push the stock price if it does go well and that's what i've got for this little short video here today, so blah blah blah.
