I buy stocks for different reasons. Some to hold onto forever. Others for a quick profit. Others for options tradin. Mostly though, I look for dividend income because that's my retirement goal paired with my rental properties.
I'm not ruling out that APE couldn't cause some chaos and violent swings soon, but I also think you are right in your thesis. Everyone seems to be panicking about dilution, but if the shorts have created fake shares as well all think, its already severely diluted and true value isn't being reflected, right? I'd be in favor of helping the company eliminate debt if it ended the short thesis. If the company can position itself in the best possible way through eliminating debt and ending the short thesis, I think we all win. If that takes some time, I still think its worth the wait. I'm not selling.
