If this lidar was really the gamechanger in the industry, MVIS would absolutely not be trying to put out a yard sale sign they would be moving into the manufacturing phase to distribute this lidar to all car manufacturers and maximize profit to become a new industry giant. At this point Manufacturers want these units in hand not on the lab table, Lazr for instance is at the point of mass manufacturing with better overall field of view on their lidar.

Maybe it has no color, street hey street lights don’t change their position ( green always at top ) and it knows which light is lit and the algorithm knows which light is lit by its position. No problem.

Microsoft may be looking at this stock. Even GM could use the lidar area of MVIS.
This is 4 things I would like to add
1) I don't think Tesla would Purchase MVIS atlast Not for their there self driving system. Tesla had a choice to either use lidar or the system it curently developed and choos the current system
2) there are other ildar offerings in the market
3) I do think MVIS being a optics company with 2 decades of research and engineering and development is poised to be acquired by any number of Automotive companies or the FAMG gang
I used to be a big fan til I realized you’re nothing more than a pumper and MVIS is a prime example. This stock is going back down to single digits shortly, horrible financials. Nothing more than a hype play and if this stock does go back to single digits you should never be forgiven for how much you pumped this stock and other horrible penny stocks that you claimed to have so much potential
I agree MVIS is a good company but Tesla will never ever ever ever buy this technology. If you actually do some DD instead of just spitting out a knee jerk reaction video. Tesla will never use Lidar for their autonomous play so please don't say this BS. Do some DD otherwise you look like a fool
Dude people could add 4 hours to their day in LA by sleeping in two separate two hour chunks, their transit. That alone would pay for the Tesla.
This is weird. Tesla is not buying Lidar tech, they have NO plans in using Lidar, they have their own Lidar tech which they use for SpaceX. Waymo (google) already has their own Lidar tech which they already use. If this company's tech so great then why are they so hell bent on getting acquired.
Elon has already said Tesla is going with a vision system and has dropped LIDAR.

Hey trey would this point help your take on MicroVision.. Tesla say that they're leading thw race because of all fhe information theyre gathering with all of the vehicles they have on the road. If other companies lag in information, wouldnt they make it up by investing in Lidar? Also I'm new and was wondering if you can confirm if Micro is the only lidar company thats publicly traded?
I saw a post where Elon publicly denounced Lidar in 2019. Has his opinion changed, that post false, or were you unaware of that post?
If Elon WAS interested in MVIS and their LIDAR of course he would be down playing it for negotiation reasons… one point that you missed is TSLA does not need cameras so that means that MVIS technology could be modified to work with TSLA'S technology thus deleting the need for camera's and improve accuracy of surroundings…. delete that dependence that's a home run.
Alot new ppl in this comment section just catching wind of MVIS really do your own DD just dont make your decisions off this video alone. People who did proper DD will.under stand MVIS standards alone when it comes to lidar.. velodyne and luminar dont compare ppl who did proper DD knows that..

Elon Musk has been openly opposed to the use of Lidar in Tesla vehicles. He has spoke against its use publicly.

So at the 9 minute mark right now, so you might have covered this already later on in the video.
But the argument against lidar from Musks perspective isn't that relevant. People are scared to death of self driving cars, I very much all those goverments are gonna give a crap about what Musk thinks of the look of it.
While not fair, people expect these cars to be way and way safer than any human driver.
Also while I can understand him wanting to keep his Tesla's sleek, and buyers wanting it to look good as well. Self driving cars will change the way we look at owning a car. I wouldn't want a car sharing service. But if I can press a button and the nearest car comes pick me up, that's something I would be interested in, and I would not give 2 shits how it looks. I wouldn't own it, I wouldn't care, it would be like a taxi service, and I want it to be safe.
Oh and besides things being made smaller, the fact is also that we tend to adjust our designs once they get mass produced.
Anyway back to watching the video.
