What is up, everybody welcome back to another episode of trades trades, where we have technical analysis on different stocks of the stock market, as well as potential buy, hold or sell opinions on these given stocks, i like the premise by saying that i'm not a financial advisor Nor expert - i am just some random dude on youtube, so take what i say with a grain of salt. The reason that i started this channel is because a couple years back, i was about 30 000 deep in medical debt, and i was very lucky to have some close friends, mentors and family. That pushed me to work really hard, invest my money in the market and i am a financially free guy now. So, if i can pass along any of the information resources and tools that are given to me and help your lives just a little bit, that's all.

I can ask for lastly, if you would mind dropping a like on the video, it really does help support the channel and consider subscribing if you'd like to see more content like this. I do post videos daily multiple times a day and i do cover microvision quite frequently. We just went over 600 subscribers this morning. I'm so thankful for all of you we're building a great community, let's see if we can get to a thousand and then from there we'll keep on trucking, because we're not done here over here at trey's trade.

So today we are going to be doing a micro vision, fundamentals, video uh i had mentioned in my last microvision video - that if there was enough interest, i would throw together a fundamental overview of the company. That way, you guys don't have to do as much due diligence. You can you can watch this video and it should give you just about everything you need to know. Of course, i will be posting public relations and news catalysts that do pop up with the company that will affect it.

So keep that in the back of your mind as well, but let's just get right into the video. We have a lot to unpack. So microvision fundamentals welcome to trey's trades, my friends so microvisions technology foundation, we've got the mems tech and the mems tech is. It is uh core engineering, it's part of their module technology.

They have a couple different uh systems that work with that. So they've got a wafer, a module laser controls, laser compliance, manufacturing and calibration. You can read all that, i'm not going to just read it to you advanced manufacturing and you can see that um. Where is it advanced, manufacturing, right here, process, map and control plan, automation, design, uh, key supply chain partnerships, automated line, design, lidar tech? This is the big one here.

This is what they're pretty well known for, and you can see here. They've got four patents on a couple different things: augmented reality: micro display application, patent, automotive, lidar application patent, interactive display application patent and a consumer lidar application patent and an automotive lidar application patent. From my understanding, what this means is they get to work solely on that idea, so that is a that's a pretty big deal in my mind. I do see this.
You know painting out very well and we do touch on the the lidar of microvision compared to other companies why this may be. You know sensible for other companies to be interested in versus something like vldr. We could we'll get into that later patents. I had a question that was asked by katz and one of my subscribers on patents.

She said: hey trey. I heard that this company only has 10 patents, but i've also read somewhere else. It only has six. So could you clearly hear for me? Well, i did the homework for you cats, so there are 250 total patents that microvision owns.

However, only 10 are related to lidar, so that is maybe, where you've been hearing um. You know the 10 patents number is the lidar piece, and this was actually written about in a short article by hindenburg and they they kind of attacked um. They kind of attacked microvision for this 10 10 patents thing, and i don't honestly understand that a whole lot. You know i'm trying to keep this as unbiased as i can, but a company that has over 250 total patents if they really needed to liquidize one of them and make some quick income some quick cash flow.

This is definitely a way to do it. You know, i don't know if they really need all 250 of those, but if they don't you know, that's an option. They've got a projection engine, so this is a pcop scanning tech, image, quality, hd picture and projector capability. So basically, this is a very small microchip engine.

It's about the size of a quarter a little bit bigger than a quarter, so it's very sleek in design it's. It looks honestly like a memory card that you'd throw inside a playstation 2., just a little bit thinner, but the purpose of this is scanning, so it holds onto images. It keeps high quality pictures and it has projector capabilities. They also have an interactive projection engine, and this is actually really cool.

So this this engine can actually project right onto like the countertop, the wall, and you can interact with it. You can you can touch it voice interactions, gestures, site and this engine will recognize what you're doing, based on the surface that you're touching it on. So it does have virtual digital assistance display capabilities, and that is very cool tech, guys um. I i think you can really see this being used like somewhere in the kitchen.

Let's say that you're cooking and you really need to to pay attention to like a recipe, video or read a recipe on a cookbook, and you can just swipe up and down on the countertop your fingers all dirty. Don't need to worry about mudging up your screen. That'd be huge, or can you imagine if this was like attached to the roof of your car and it was uh projecting straight onto your windshield, and it was able to tell you real time, information regarding travel, right or or um, or give you like a google Maps display that way, you don't have to look at the center console on your car. I mean these are just some ideas, but this company has a lot of ways that they can run with this interactive projection engine.
I think it's pretty cool tech they've got the lidar sensor, and this is what we hear: a million and one things about guys. It's the 3d lidar sensor. It's got cognitive features for classification, occupancy intent and segmentation, and this lidar sensor is separate from the automotive lidar sensor that they're currently developing, but this is used as i've talked about previously on the channel by us army aviation, pilots. And what that means.

Is these pilots? In the army who drive, helicopters and planes have lidar technology that is attached to the kevlar helmets. Kevlars are just the military helmets they're attached on the top, and they display real-time information, including what you can see here: identification class location, um, occupancy intent, classification. It's it's just a resource that helps the military fly, the fly, the skies a little bit safer and be able to um identify a certain. You know opposing forces um weapon systems like it's, it's that the applications are endless here and this is likely going to be being used in uh, the military, on ground forces as well.

I have been reading that they're developing goggles um for us troops to wear on the ground and we're expected to see it sometime in 2021, the article said we have this marine, that's testing out these goggles on october of 2020 and it was a pretty cool. Looking picture i'll see if i can find a link to the article and leave in the description box down below for you guys all right before we get going again. I just wanted to say one thing um. I appreciate all your time if you take a pause break to get a drink of water or something we're about halfway through with that being said, let's dive right back into it, so the projection engine this is display for head mounted displays, and they could also use This for the um goggle system that i was talking about, the u.s army is currently in the works with it's got a large field of view highly transparent.

As you can see it, it really doesn't. Um suppress your your field of vision whatsoever, it looks very sleek. It i mean this is still just developmental from my understanding. This isn't something that's available to the public yet, but if this does go through, that would be huge for the company as the the upside there is.

I've never seen anything like that. To be honest, um you find me in you know a projection engine that you can mount on your on your glasses and show me how much money they're making, because i guarantee you it's a lot. The automotive lidar - and this is where the immediate upside to me is outside of a company buyout or a company acquisition automotive lidar. So the lidar sensor, with real-time object, classification and it's aesthetic very small in size.
So what this is, is we've heard about like teslas right, how they can they're self driving vehicles, um they're, autonomous that you don't need a person in them in order to operate well. What lidar and microvision is trying to do is possibly disrupt and get themselves into that automotive game. So let's just have a scenario here: let's say that microsoft ends up buying out microvision. Okay, microsoft has stated that they want to get into the automotive game and so has apple right.

So i could see one of these two companies. You know, with tesla being an autonomous vehicle company winds into that game and both of these companies could very highly benefit from lidar, especially the aesthetics of it right. It's a very aesthetic, lidar sensor, it's very small. I mean we can go back and look at that, but it's very small right.

You can't it's not some bulky thing. That's sitting over the top of a tesla like that picture, i shared with you guys the other day i got some flack for that. I just thought you guys would want to see it anyways. Both of these companies could benefit.

So let's say that microsoft does buy out microvision. You know, shareholders make a lot of money, but that's beside the point they could. They could then take this real-time object. Classification and they'd be the next tesla.

You know: um they'd be a competitor, because right now, tesla in the in the states to me is a monopoly in the autonomous driving vehicle sector. They don't have any competition and that's why they're skyrocketing so much in the market. So what is microvision we've touched on basically all of their major technologies. I hope that was answering your questions, but we're just going to get into some of the basics outside of the the technology.

Their hq is in washington. They are a high technology leader, and what i mean by this is they've got the they've got the laser beams. They've got the head projections: they've got a couple: different lidar systems and they've been around for over 20 years. They're a 20-plus year company, so they've been in the game for a while, and this is maybe one of the the downsides and the risks within the company is they have been around for 20 plus years and not a lot has happened.

So you do need to keep in the back of your mind that we are. We are basing the value of this company on the potential for growth and not previous growth. So there is not a great history over the last three to five years of financial income of cash flow of assets. Um, you know we're looking at potential here so just want to put that.

In the back of your mind, uh they've got lbs laser beam scanning. They're, a tech industry leader in that sense, as i just touched on, they have display applications. They lead in those as well. I just mentioned those as well and the sensing applications developer.
So you know the automotive lidar that they're working on that they're projecting getting out to us by april to present on. That is a date that you're going to want to watch. If you do have a position in this stock, it's april, because that is when we're expected to have a rundown of what's happening with lidar automotive. Excuse me when i drink my coffee, real, quick, all right back to it management summit sharma.

Is this gentleman right here? He's been the ceo since 2018 on board since 2015. He's got a history in engineering and operations and let me just tell you right now: this man looks like one smart, one: smart dude. I love his smile. That's good stuff! Stephen holt he's been the cfo since 2013, 20 plus years global financial management.

He is this gentleman right here and the guy who looks like peter parker's, dad that is david westgore vice president says 2013, former dgc, which is the deputy general counsel from 2007 to 2012.. So he's been around for a long time i really like summit sharma. I want to talk a little bit on him. He is very proactive about increasing both shareholder and company value, and he stated this multiple times pretty much any time.

There's been public relations that include summit sharma, he states his intent on increasing shareholder and company value, and not all not all ceos do that. So it is obvious to me that he keeps in the back of his mind the importance of increasing and long-term growth in the company, and i really like that. Proactiveness, that's that's great when companies aren't doing well and when they have a history of not doing well. Sometimes you you see a little bit of lacking in that department, and it makes me really feel really good to know that they are they're proactively, managing their financial situation and our financial situation so notable reason management.

I made a very slight error in one of my videos and i wanted to correct it really quick judy karan is a former ford employee, having worked 30 plus years in various executive positions, including director of technology strategy. That is the position that judy karan works worked at ford she's. Currently a now higher-on at microvision says november of 2020, and this may hint at a potential buyout suitor. This is speculative right since she did work at ford.

For a long time, though, i can, and we can assume that they brought her onto the team because of her executive positions, including director of technology strategy. And since you worked at ford it's, it seems to me that they are really trying to hammer down on the lidar automotive capabilities and i would not be surprised if judy curran still has some connections to ford. So it could be possible that we see a forward buyout. However, i do think it's more likely that we see a buyout from a different company like microsoft or maybe apple heck, even tesla.
I wouldn't be surprised. I know that people think that uh elon musk doesn't like lidar, but i've done a little bit of reading. Guys and teslas have lidar in the car. It's just a matter of how it looks.

It doesn't like the aesthetics of bulky, ugly lidar and that's not what microvision is so that's a possibility too um, but this is. This is speculative the ford buyout, it's just something to keep in the back of your mind, so where's the upside here, the lidar tech and the military. So we are expecting a vote to happen in the senate, either today or tomorrow, that is going to override the veto on the national defense bill. The 740 billion dollar bill that president trump vetoed.

If this goes through, all military personnel will get a three percent raise on their yearly income, and we should be expecting an increase in overall budget for the military to operate on, and that will include us, aviators and the future technology that we are expecting to make Its way into the us army in 2021, the lidar tech goggles, and both of these will generate a lot of income for microvision, which is why i think we are expecting this huge lump sum of revenue from microvision we're expecting the automotive long-range lidar. As i mentioned earlier in april this, this revenue is a lot higher guys: i've crunched the numbers and in 2020 their total revenue was 3 million dollars, so that is a multiple of 67 times more revenue and it hasn't been posted. Yet this is just a 2021 estimate from yahoo finance, but i do think this is because of either the automotive long-range, lidar or lidar tech that we are sending to the military and guys i'm telling you right now this this stat was hidden deep in the in The labyrinth of uh of uh yahoo - this was not easy information to find when people figure out that this company 67xed their revenue. Oh my god, you guys, you guys better, have a position when that happens.

Of course, i'm not a financial advisor or expert just uh make sure you do your own due diligence, another upside the potential buyout between microsoft, ford, tesla or apple, the tech industry boom. So the whole tech industry in general right now is going absolutely nuts ever since coronavirus hit and they definitely have benefited and should continue to benefit and the competitors vldr vodr to me is very bulky. It's not quite as aesthetic and sleek it's not quite as pinpoint accurate. It doesn't have the same capabilities of microvision.

I do see microvision as the better competitor in the situation current financials in 2019. Their total revenue is 8.9 million gross profit 322 000. A little bit low, very low, actually their assets are 11.8 million, so they have some assets that they can liquidate if they need to. However, i don't think that's a great idea for a company, that's in the developmental stage, so i don't think they're going to do that.
Liabilities is 15.8 million, so they have liabilities that outweigh the debt, which means they're about four million dollars. Shy here, um in the assets liabilities department, total debt is two million and their yearly cash position is 16.9 million. This is factoring in some other things, like shareholder shareholder money as well. So keep that in the back of your mind, mvis is trading.

It's seeing a 52 week low of 15 cents, so just remember that keep that in the back of your mind, when we're sitting here at uh at five dollars and some change, you know a year ago we were at 15 cents, so you got ta. You got ta, take the little wins for sure, fairly small market cap, 814 million total shares and in the last three months, we've seen a growth of 168 percent, and that is factoring in the fact that we are down from 974 to like 5, 15 or 520. So this company is taking off guys and make sure you do your own due diligence and you don't make your own financial decisions, but i am not going to get left in the dust on this. My personal opinion is the the growth and the potential outweighs the risk um on this company concerns it's a speculative company.

It's outcome, product dependent, meaning that they need to develop that automotive lidar. They need to make sure they're getting their products out because right now, like i mentioned earlier, we're investing in them based on their potential growth, not on previous growth, so um we're trying to beat the hype before it comes right. Buy the hype, sell the news. That's that's the plan here guys.

The history of financials is a little concerning. They have a history of not turning out huge profits. In fact, some years they had negative profits. That's concerning but, like i said, we're looking at their future potential for growth, not their previous growth and their year to year growth.

As i mentioned recent public relations, they had a 13 million at the market equity offering on december 29th. This just means that they offered 13 million dollars to the craig hallam group at the market equity offering meaning they offered it at price value of 655. When the share was trading that day, we've had some shorting articles come out. This was, you know, the hindenburg ordeal and that kind of tanked the price a little bit in the short term.

We had judy karan edition that was on december 1st automotive lidar development november 10th is when they announced that we're expecting that in april, and they had a 10 million at the market equity offering on november 9th. So the same thing is here just on a different day: a little less money. So my personal opinion, the risk is the continuous downside it may just continue dropping you know we might see it drop back down to one two three dollars. I think it's unlikely, but it is a risk right.

There's there's assumed risk with everything we can't predict. What's going to happen in the market, every single day april, presentation flops, meaning their their check, doesn't work out. Um, something goes wrong with the presentation they they can't meet. The deadline.
That's gon na that's gon na tank, our shareholder price. The company does not recover and it's regularly shorted, so this company is regularly shorted guys. This is a stock that people take advantage of especially bears to turn quick profit, as it is very volatile. It has the ability to go up or down a buck to a buck 50 on any given day and that's an emotional roller coaster, and i get that so that's something to keep in the back of your mind, the reward there's a long term upside here.

I think if this automotive lidar works out we're looking at a 5 to 10 x company and i'm not kidding guys not at all, imagine if they are one of the first industry leaders to get this sort of technology in all companies hands. Imagine if apple and microsoft, apple or microsoft struck a deal with these guys - oh my god, you'd be going absolutely nuts, and even if that doesn't happen, if that 202 million dollar estimated revenue for 2021 comes to fruition, that's gon na at least double this company's value. I i don't see any possible way how it can 67 times higher growth from 2020 to 2021, and the shareholder value is going to skyrocket, there's just no way around it. We've got the lidar disrupting automobile industry, like i said, company acquisition, so this could be microsoft.

Apple ford, i think possibly tesla. I know that some people don't agree with that. But uh, that's my personal opinion. It is possible unlikely, but it's possible and further military tech expansion.

So, like the lidar goggles that we were talking about um, they could use the the head mounted displays. You know, there's there's a whole bunch of upside there and the military guys has a huge budget. So, there's a lot of potential for some good money to be made there. That is what i have for the microvision fundamentals, video.

I know this is longer than the typical video. So if you stuck through the whole thing, i appreciate you guys. I appreciate the support. I just wanted to make sure i gave you as much in-depth information as i possibly could.

That way. You can walk away from here feeling a little bit better about your investment decisions, whether you're going to buy whether you're going to sell whether you're going to hold and whether you're going to deal with microvision at all personally on trace trades. I am in microvision and i am going to stay in microvision until we see a price target and a price range somewhere in the eight to nine to ten dollars and honestly, i think the upside is a lot higher than there. So that is all i have for the video, if you wouldn't mind dropping a like, please do it really does help the channel and consider subscribing if you'd like to see more content like this, i may start a series where i cover fundamental analysis on other companies.
Um, so just watch for that. That is something i may do. These do take a little bit longer to make guys so um. I really would appreciate if you would uh.

Let me know what you think in the comment section. So that is all i have for you today and i will see you all next time: peace.

I am in Microvision also and have been since I started my account! I have a tiny account but I am definitely going to buy the dip if it drops some more! I have learned from much research and hundreds of videos not to invest money I am emotionally attached to! I hear many people saying you cannot make much if you don't have at least 100 shares in a company but I really do not believe that! Some people do not have thousands of dollars to pour into their account and HEYYYY!! I am one of them! I am not going to push myself past my capabilities to "get rich" quick!

I like the MVIS projection technology. I don’t know how Apple inc hasn’t at least looked into it. At the same time I don’t think Micro vision has done a good job of marketing it. I haven’t seen it anywhere on social media. They should have influencers using Instagram & YouTube with their phones connected to the MVIS projectors. It would be cool to use in the shower on the wall tiles or in the kitchen table while eating.
